Febreze Home Collection Flameless Luminary Complaint – A Decorative Flameless Candle with Disapointing Scented Shades

The other day I was watching my favorite show, Design Star on HGTV.  During one of the commercials I saw a product by Febreze which was a flameless candle air freshener.  It was very pretty and I later learned that you were able to get all different scented shades and decorative shades for the candle.  I thought this would be perfect because of the flameless candle and being safe for my youngest 1 year old son.

I also wouldn’t have to worry about our dog knocking it off the table either with his tale was wagging like crazy.  I decided to go out to Wal-Mart and buy the Febreze Home Collection Flameless Luminary air freshener.  I found it at Wal-Mart and bought the Cranberry Pear scent starter kit for about $12.97.  I didn’t think this was too much because I thought that the scent would last a long time.

When I got home and set the Febreze Home Collection Flameless Luminary air freshener up, I decided that they were very pretty in our bedroom and in the bathrooms.  So then I decided to go back the next day and I bought 2 more for our bathrooms.  They are perfect because they really smell nice and give off the perfect amount of candle light.

After having the Febreze Home Collection Flameless Luminary air freshener in our bedroom and 2 bathrooms, I noticed that the scent was very weak after 3 days.  I was very disappointed because the starter kit only came with 2 scented shades and I had used 1 in only 3 days.  I had looked up the prices for refills and they come in a pack of 2 for $4.97.  I was shocked at the refill price because once again that only came in a pack of 2 scented shades.

I thought to myself that if I need to replace the scented shades at least twice weekly, I would be spending $40 a month on air fresheners. That’s $480 a year!! I am very disappointed with the result of the Febreze Home Collection Flameless Luminary air freshener.  If you are looking for a decorative flameless candle, then I would fully recommend this product to you.

Having to replace the scented shades twice weekly and having to spend all that money on refills is not worth the benefits that are received.  Febreze has disappointed me with this product!

Well, I’m glad I caught your answer to my question, how long does it last? Because I too bought the shades on sale and after 5 days noticed that the scent was gone. I bought a few also and will use them up. But it is costly to change shades every week. And there’s nothing on the package that tells you how long the scene lasts.
