IKEA Home Furnishing Store Compliment – Amazing, Great Quality, and Affordable Products

Are you a college student? Are you someone who has just moved into a new home or apartment?  If so, you probably don’t have a lot of money to go out and buy all new things for your new place.  Well, I am both a college student and I have just moved into my own off-campus apartment!  I myself don’t have a lot of money to buy new things for my apartment.  I went to Craigslist, a bunch of different Salvation Army stores and I managed to find a few things off of Craigslist that people weren’t asking a ridiculous amount of money for.  I also found a few things from the Salvation Army stores, but there were still things that I needed.

I was at my friend’s house and she was telling me about this store called IKEA.  IKEA is a Home Furnishing store that has anything from couches, pet supplies, kitchen tools, bedding, bathroom supplies, and children/baby items as well.  You may think that because IKEA is a huge furniture store that the items there are outrageously expensive, but it quite the opposite actually!  At IKEA stores they sell things un-assembled, and you have to build them yourselves.

Some people may think of this as a negative but in reality this is what helps them keep their prices lower than other home furnishing stores.  Due to not having to pay the costs of hiring someone who assembles these items for customers allows IKEA to maintain low costs year round.  I don’t think there is a section in that store that I did not buy something from because it was so cheap!  You can buy things for basically any occasion because you can give anything as a gift to someone moving into an apartment, or just for fun if you think it’s something that someone may like.

I was able to buy a bookshelf for my apartment that had a back support, and even though it was not made out of solid wood, it is sturdier than most other composite wood bookshelves.  Most other bookshelves that I had looked at didn’t have the back support and the books would probably just start falling out the back of the shelving unit.

I was also able to buy a lot of kitchen tools from IKEA that were no more than $8.  This was a shock to me because they are really good quality.  Especially when the tools that you buy at Wal-Mart are just expensive or sometimes even more expensive, and they are terrible quality.  For example, I bought some metal tongs from Wal-Mart a few months ago and they have already rusted, and I had to throw them out no more than 3 months after I bought them.

Another thing that I was able to buy at IKEA was Christmas gifts for almost everyone in my family.  I bought my nephew a few baby/toddler toys for his birthday and Christmas, I also bought a few household items for the others in my family.  There are many different items that can be used for multiple purposes as well.  I bought a plastic paper towel holder for 99 cents!!  I now use it as a toilet paper holder for my bathroom, I hate it when the toilet paper runs out when you’re on the toilet and you need to get up and go into the towel closet to get more out before you can finish your business!!

So, basically what I’m saying is instead of going out and spending who knows how much money on household items at Wal-Mart, Target, or Kohl’s, that you could probably get at IKEA for even less than you can get from those stores, even with coupons, take a browse in the closest IKEA to you!
