, website traffic and why you won’t get any buyers from their traffic!

Traffictaxi scam fraud logo

I recently started a website about NASCAR racing and wanted to find a way to drive some traffic because I must admit, being that the website was only one week old, there was virtually no traffic. So I typed into a Google search the keywords drive traffic. One of the results that came up was They claimed to be able to send good-quality website traffic at fraction of the cost of the big players like Google, Yahoo and Bing.

So I give them a try. It didn’t look expensive as you could get 10,000 visitors to your site for $20. Thats a really good price because that means your CPM (cost per thousand visitors) is only two dollars. Most places your CPM is going to be $10 or more. And, of course, if you use Google Adwords you could actually pay $10 for one click through or one customer, depending upon the worth or value of that keyword (some eywords like mesothelioma can cost upwards of $40 or more per click).

So I gave a shot and watched as they sent me 10,000 visitors in a period of 20 minutes or so. My website sells numerous NASCAR related items, novelties and more and there are opportunities to purchase these items on virtually almost every page. Even though my website is new I found that with Google Adwords I could expect 1 out of every 15 visitors to buy an item or atleast become a member. Yet somehow with Traffictaxi I received no buyers, members or anything and that was out of 10,000 unique and targeted visitors as per their website.

So I found some various website traffic analysis programs and purchased another 10,000 unique visitors from And again I watched as the 10,000 visitors quickly came to my site and once again there were no purchases or any activity at all. So I looked into the actual traffic data with the analysis programs and found that many of these were repeats from the same domain or IP address almost all of them were visits of durations less than o.5 seconds.

According to what I’ve found elsewhere on the Internet from reliable sources that his death and in is a definite indicator of robot and nonhuman traffic. These characters at were playing a complete scam. They were not sending any real human visitors to my website. It was all fake traffic. I wrote several emails demanding my money back because their traffic was all fraudulant – their response? None. I have yet to hear back from them and doubt that I ever will. I did report them to my state attorney’s office and the Better Business Bureau.

My recommendation and review of Stay away from scams like Traffictaxi and stick with the major players were you will get definite results like Google, Yahoo and Bing. Stay away from the flyby nighters like

Must be you don’t like this Traffictaxi much. There are better resources and ways of getting traffic to your website. The cheapest and most time proven method is to write and add good quality content. You may have heard the saying that content is King – well, it is. It is the number one thing search engines like Google are looking for when trying to figure out where certain websites should rank and why.

The number 2 thing is links. Work on getting inbound links to your website from related websites with authority. Also you can work on internal linking – linking from page to page within your site using keywords and anchor links. If you spend enough time doing this your website will get all the traffic you want and more!

Hello,I love reading through your blog, I wanted to leave a little comment to support you and wish you a good continuation. I used Traffictaxi once and found their traffic to be crap – no one ever bought anything and I didn’t even get any new subscribers. It was a complete waste of time and money. Thanks again for another great post on RYC ( – you are definitely one of my favorite websites.

I had the unfortunate experience of using Traffictaxi and I, same as you guys, received absolutely no sales whatsoever. I just stopped using them, but I did not know they were defrauding people like this – wow! Has anyone reported them to the BBB or state attorney general as of yet? Someone should sue them!

NOTE — This comment is obviously written by an employee of as you can see in the text below and how it is worded. — NOTE

We have been using successfully for several years now as both an advertiser and a publisher. We have never had any problems. Your so-called ‘facts’ do not add up. Unless they gave you a really special discount, there is no way that you bought $2cpm traffic from them. Secondly, you can’t compare popup traffic to search traffic. On a side note, is a different company and I have heard bad things. Maybe you meant them.

I have been looking for different avenues to get some traffic to my new blog. Thanks for the heads up on this scam (Traffictaxi). I will go elsewhere and also try and add lots of fresh content. I have been adding content, but it apparently takes quite a while for Google to rank a website for anything. Does anyone have any suggestions to get my site to rank faster?

Hmmm, I don’t buy traffic. It’s too costly and gives very minimal returns at best. The best method and Google will tell you this is to just strive to add quality content in the form of articles and information or tips to your website. After a period of time, which in Google’s case can usually be about 4 to 6 months, you will rank highly for each of the keywords best suited to the material you’re writing. Learn from others and be sure and visit the site which is loaded with great tips for people trying to start a website or blog.

Gary, your an idiot. You obviously work for Look at the wording of what you wrote. You might as well admit it. I don’t know why employees of companys have to falsely state who they are to try and reverse a bad review or complaint. What they don’t realize is that what really happens in the end is that the truth comes out like it did here and then the company looks even worse than it did to begin with. If what you were saying was true and they were two different companies than you would think that the one that is the better company would go and switch their name to something else so they wouldn’t get dragged down by the other one.
