US Copyright Group lawsuit scam – Please read this before you pay Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver anything!

US Copyright Group scam extortion review

The US Copyright Group is wrongly misusing and abusing the legal system in America to fleece and scam thousands of victims – read this to see for yourself that it is all just a scam!

It’s all over the news that under the name of the US Copyright Group, the attorneys Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver are extorting through the legal system thousands of people for the supposedly illegal downloading of certain movies like Hurt Locker and Far Cry. Smaller picture companies Like Voltage and others are trying to use these extortion methods to make profits and possibly gain back monies lost to illegal downloading and pirating of their movies.

Well, as it turns out, a good friend of mine actually works at Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver (the attorneys handling this whole slew of extortion letters and more). She told me everything that’s going on as long as I don’t use her name. She said this is 100% of extortion because there are no other attorneys that have been hired or retained by Dunlap, Grubb & weaver as they have proclaimed in the press and there also won’t be.

She said this is just a scare tactic to get as many of these people to pay $2500 or so before they all find out it’s a big scam and there never was any intent to sue anyone. You see the problem here is they can’t go around suing everybody like they claim they can. Nor will any attorney or law firm do that for them.

Want to keep your torrents and ip address secret from the RIAA, U.S. Copyright Group and other similar spamagation attorneys?  You need to read this article on VPN and torrent downloading!

The reason for that is they cost money to sue somebody and if that person has no money then lawyers don’t sue them they are in a class commonly referred to as lawsuit proof. The reason for this is just common sense – you can’t squeeze blood out of a rock. Great so you can get a judgment and you can go and try and get monies out of these people but it costs money to get the judgment, there’s court costs, legal fees, lost attorney revenue, and then to top it off if there’s no money to be gotten their biggest wasted easily $20,000 or $30,000 or more.

The problem with these illegal downloading lawsuits is that 99.99% of the people that do this have no assets or money. Any law firm that was going to even possibly consider handling any of these supposed cases of defendants that aren’t agreeing to the extortion letters and paying up, would first have to go and hire a private detective to find out if the individual has any assets and where they currently reside. Asset searches can cost anywhere from $500 up to $2000 or more.

Being that almost all these supposed defendants have virtually no assets they supposedly are so be taking up these lawsuits would guarantee we be losing more money than they could ever possibly take in just in asset searches alone. Then you would have all the court costs, fees, etc… and then to top it off even if someone does have assets you still have a very hard time to collect on a judgment.

You cannot force the individual out of their house if they own one and most importantly, which the moronic and lying lawyers of Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver failed to tell anyone even when questioned directly about it, is that a judgment of this sort because there is no criminal conviction tied into it is 100% extinguished in bankruptcy court. And bankruptcy courts nowadays will never remove someone from their house or take their cars away.

And in most cases they won’t take any of your personal affects away either. So what does this mean? It means it’s a complete 100% scam designed to force potential lawsuit defendants into early, profitable settlements. Do not pay them one penny and you’ll watch them dry up and wither away. They can threaten and use strong language, but when it all comes down to it there’s nothing they can do.

Plus to top it off they may not even have a case – remember the company they use from Europe with supposed proprietary technology to get ip information of uploaders and downloaders? They announced this to the press. Well, there is no proprietary technology. They just log in to a torrent client like Bittorrent and participate in the upload/download of the movies like everyone else and that is how they get your IP information. That right there makes it so the case won’t hold up in court – most judges would throw the case out on this technicality.

This is from the mouth straight from someone that works at Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver and is directly handling these cases. I am ashamed that scumbag lawyers like this exist in our world today. Being that there won’t be any follow-up lawsuits I believe there is a clear case here for a massive class-action lawsuit against Voltage, US Copyright Group, Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver and anyone else involved in this extortion scam!

So , regardless if you illegally downloaded Hurt Locker, Far Cry or anything else the US Copyright group has their hands on, if you receive an extortion letter from Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver do this – go to the nearest copy machine and make a copy of your middle finger and send that to them and make sure that’s all you give them. That is what they deserve and nothing else. Don’t let them profit by extorting you and others.

Oh and one more thing – I just caught Attorney Dunlap in another blatant lie.  He publicly stated that since these supposed law suits and subpoenas have started that illegal downloading of hurt locker dropped 80%.  This is far from the truth.  If anything they increased over 300%.  You can go to any torrent download site or related blog and find this out for yourself very quickly.

Don’t want anyone else to know what your downloading habits are? Read this article on VPN!

Mr. Dunlap and his cohort attorneys at Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver are a bunch of lying scumbag vermin.  Stand up to them!  There threat and letters re just that paper.  They have no intention of filing any lawsuits nor have they hired any attorneys or even talked to any attorneys of substance in these matters.  Ignore them and they will go away as they have to.  Do not enrich them by sending them any money whatsoever.  They openly know at the law firm that this is all a big sham and scam – a virtual legal shakedown for the 21st century.

So, if you stand for freedom of the internet copy your middle finger and send it by fax to Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver:
phone: 800-747-9354 x3885
fax: (202) 318-0242
e-mail: tdunlap@dglegal.com
You can also call them and give them a piece of your mind or flood their email. If everyone did this work at Dunlap, Grubb and Weaver would slow to a snails pace as no other faxes, emails or phone calls could get through. Make their life difficult as they have tried to, basically, illegally extort thousands of Americans. Give them a piece of your mind! Remember complaining and being an irate consumer is your right! File a complaint with your state attorney generals office. File complaints with the state bar association in Washington DC – I know that they won’t stand for this abuse of the legal system if enough American consumers complain about it to them:

Make your voices heard – if enough of you stand up for yourselves this extortion and misuse of the legal system can easily be brought to a grinding halt. Right on. It’s just like you say here – if we want to stop this attack on our freedom and rights (like the right to a free internet) then we need to stand up to these jackass attorneys at Dunlap Grubb and Weaver (aka US copyright group). Lets all send complaints to the Washington DC bar that our constitutional rights are being flouted by these jackasses! I am going to write a formal complaint to every political figure I can think of! I will also completely boycott anything from Voltage Pictures! By ourselves we may not be able to stop this, but united we are strong, very strong, and we can make Dunlap Grubb and Weaver wish they were never even born! We are voters, we are hackers, we are human beings, we are Americans and we will not stand for this abuse of the legal system!

I’ve had it with these bully, lying lawyers. They shouldn’t be allowed to operate like this. Every other business has to become green and consumer friendly except for attorneys. Legislation next has to be changed to better control lawyers like this.

The US Copyright group is a scam and nothing more. We should all report these lawyer idiots to congress and the whitehouse for illegal extortion and misuse of the legal system.

I got an extortion letter from these attorneys and am not going to pay them a penny. I just threw it in the trash. If everyone would do this I bet they would just fold up and disappear.

I got one of those letters last year and I never paid a dime and don’t plan on ever paying a dime. I doubt they would ever even think of trying to sue me and if they did I am an attorney and I would counter sue and start a class action lawsuit against these scumbags at Dunlap Grubb & Weaver that would end in their demise!
