American Eagle Outfitters- Rude Company Policies and Irritating Credit Card Offers!!

American Eagle sucks!

When I was at the mall shopping for new clothes, I had walked by American Eagle.  Many of my friends had worn clothes from American Eagle, so I figured I would see if they had any good deals or specials.  As soon as I walked in, it was like I was walking into hell.

When I had taken about 5 steps into the store an employee walked up to me and asked me “would you be interested in signing up for an American Eagle credit card?”  I had said to her no thanks.  She then proceeded to tell me the benefits of having one and that I should really look into it.  Yet again I had told her that I didn’t want one.  Then she insisted to tell me that I would be able to sign up for one when I had checked out at the checkouts.  I was so annoyed after this that I almost just walked out of the store!!

I had then looked around for a little while and found a couple cute shirts that I wanted to buy.  I didn’t want to just buy them so I went to try them on in the fitting room.  I asked a different associate than the last girl if I could try the shirts I had on.  She then opened the fitting room and I went to try the shirts on.

As I was in the fitting room, the girl that let me in the fitting room brought me over shorts that she wanted me to try on.  She asked to see how they looked on me and told me that I looked sexy in them.  She kept bringing me more to try on without me even asking her to.  She was trying to get me to buy clothes I didn’t even want to buy nor were looking for in the first place.

I was so annoyed over the entire experience that I decided to just leave because of being hounded so much.  I find it so annoying that every time I have walked into American Eagle, they pursue to ask me if I want a damn American Eagle Credit Card!! Nobody wants your high interest, no rewards credit card!!!!

American Eagle outfitters totally sucks dude. I went there and bought three shirts. They were all the same type of shirt, longsleeved with a collar. They were my size of extra-large and so I bought them and took them home. The next day when I put one on to wear it I could not fit one of my arms in the sleeves. I tried and tried and it wouldn’t work. It was early in the morning so I couldn’t see what was wrong so I turned on the light and found the one sleeve was sewn so tight that you could barely fit a broomstick handle through it.

This was clearly an extremely bad sewing job. So I went and opened the bag and took out the other two shirts and compared the sleeves and they both had the exact same problem. So none of these three shirts was wearable or usable. So I had to return all three shirts to American Eagle. The problem was the store was 45 minutes away from my house. It was convenient for me that day because I was already at that mall and nearby for other things.

Now I had to take a trip always across town and to the next town to the mall to go and return these shirts. I have bought shirts at numerous other stores and never had a problem such as this. This was ridiculous and I will not be traveling 45 minutes again to go back to the American Eagle store ever – especially when I have an Aeropostale store 5 minutes from my home.

When you enter a retail store, these girls are trained to ask you about credit cards or to bring you other clothing to try on. Anymore, corporations are so eager for business, they train their employees to basically harass the customer into buying things they don’t want. The associates are told to get so many new credit cards per day or told that their sales must equal so much money. If they don’t make the quota, they risk getting a reprimand or replaced.

The same thing goes for when you go to ring out, and the associate asks for your phone number, email, or address. Again, they are told they have to get so many phone numbers, emails, addresses, per day. If they don’t, they are reprimanded and are told that they aren’t doing their jobs.

If you don’t like these practices, don’t blame the associates. Go straight to corporate and tell them. They are the ones responsible for the training programs and for telling the associates everything they have to say to a customer (afterall, corporations can’t depend on the associate to come up with anything worthwhile on her own, so a lot of these girls are “scripted” to what they have to say). If you want to test this out, go in several American Eagles and see if the associates all basically tell you the same exact wordage for their credit cards and merchandise.

The American Eagle in my local mall has some cute chicks that work there. I love to go there just to see them. They tend to wear tight and skimpy clothes and that is quite a sight! It gets me so horny I have to go into the changing rooms and masterbate. The cool thing is I don’t have to worry about cleaning up afterwords. I just wipe myself off on the wall or better yet their clothes and then leave the store.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 0 Thumb down 10

I work at American Eagle and that is sick. If I caught you jerking off in a changing room I would call the cops or mall security on you. That is just gross. How would you like it if someone else did that and you were trying on clothes and found that someone had done that to the clothes you were trying on? That is just plain wrong!

its real bad at the one in lithonia, i know some people who work there and they are miserable, degraded by the GM, and pretty much told to harass customers into telling them the deals or pushing the cards. i want to call corporate for them. dont shop in any AE try some other store were they are not constantly peddling cards,
