North Carolina State Troopers Complaint – They Gave Me A Ticket I Should Not Have Recieved!

Let’s start off by telling all of the readers that I work in RTP in Durham NC, driving home after a long hard day at work on Friday August 26, 2011. I called and spoke to my wife briefly to see how her day went; her day was just as hard as mine as she went on and on to explain. After talking to my wife for a short while I asked her and my son what they would like for a late dinner, 8pm to be exact, she stated that they would like Chinese for dinner so I stop by Hong Kong in Roxboro NC and purchased dinner.

As soon as I pick up dinner I started my 20 minute drive home, after driving behind a car that drove 40 mph I passed the car in a PASSING ZONE, I got up to about 65 mph to get back in the lane that I was supposed to be in then reduced my speed to the speed limit, 55 mph, after this I got behind another car that was driving 40 mph. When a passing zone became available I went to pass the car, the car sped up so I had to get to 70 mph to get around it, and I was at the Person County/Caswell County line.

When I finished passing the car, the car behind me passed the car also and then pulled me over (who came out of nowhere, so he was speeding too), it was a State Trooper, Trooper Fleetwood to be exact. He told me that he gave me the benefit of the doubt when I passed the first car (I had done nothing wrong, but he made me feel as I had, what is the use of a passing zone if the North Carolina Trooper say you can’t use them and that is what he was saying without saying it, it’s a passing zone but you can’t speed up to pass a car that is doing 40 MPH) but after I proceeded to pass the second car at 70 mph he HAD to give me a ticket.

This is a prime example of why I have NO respect for the LAW, the car in front of me that I passed sped up to 65mph in the passing zone after driving 40 mph and he received no ticket – he was speeding to – but because I was the one to get to 70 mph and passing a car I received the ticket. This is such an injustice, they come to Semora to have road check to get people for DWI but they can’t go to Durham or Raleigh to issue tickets for selling crack to people.

What is this world coming too! I’m usually at work between 7 and 8 and get home after working my butt off and stressing out about my company and my job as late as 10pm and because a car in front of me wants to play or show what they can do on the highway I have to receive a ticket because when I can’t pass they slow down and when I can pass they speed up and I get a ticket and nothing happens to them. I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR POLICE OFFICERS OR THE STATE HIGHWAY PATROL IN THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA.

This is a disgrace that I help pay their salaries with no choice and this is the way people that work get repaid. I have never received in the 40 years that God has put me on this earth any benefit from law enforcement whatsoever and the sad thing is that I have to hear my wife fussing at me because I received a ticket coming home from work, why don’t I just quit my job and live as the troopers do, off the tax payers.

I just want to GIVE THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA A BBBBIIIIGGGG THANK YOU EXSPECIALLY TROOPER FLEETWOOD, PLEASE GET A REAL JOB FLEETWOOD THAT WILL BENEFIT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND STOP LIVING OFF OF THE TAX PAYERS DOLLARS, SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN BE PROUD OF!
