Subway’s $5 footlong rocks! This is still my favorite meatball sub sandwich!

Subway meatball marinara sub review

I have had a lot of sub sandwiches from a lot of different restaurants and the meatball marinara from Subway is my favorite hands down!

There are a lot of restaurants out there selling subs or sub sandwiches. Quiznos has some darn tasty toasted sandwiches, but the King of the meatball sub is by far and away the meatball marinara at Subway. For five dollars you get one hell of a sub sandwich and every time I get one at any Subway restaurant there always piping hot and awesome.

I have never had a bad meatball sub from Subway. I have had some others sandwiches and subs from Subway there were less than desirable like the seafood one, the cold cut combo and especially the veggie delite is that one just plain sucks. I don’t think I would go to a Subway restaurant to have a crappy salad put between two buns. But that’s just me.

I love meat and I’m not a vegetarian. I’ve been to many sub shops and nothing compares to a lightly toasted Subway meatball marinara sub. That’s right you have to ask them to lightly toast the sub bread and this just makes it divine. If you don’t do this it tends to get soggy with the marinara sauce. I like older crunch in the sub bread when am eating it.

I’m sure this is not one of their low calorie or low fat sandwiches recommended for a diet. I don’t care I buy these foot-long meatball subs and then take them home to watch the football game, basketball game or the latest movies (I have recently learned about VPN and how to download all the movies I could ever want for free without ever worrying about getting caught – check out this educational post on no worry torrent downloading).

When I’m watching a football game, basketball game or a movie like Star Trek or the Expendables I want something good to eat that fills me up and taste great.  Sometimes I like pizza (like Papa Johns or Domino’s) but most the time I really feel that crave for a 12 inch meatball marinara sub from Subway’s.  And now that they’re only five dollars and up buying them two her three times a week.

The only advice I would have for Subway that could cost would make this meatball sub better would be to make slightly larger meatballs and to experiment with different cheeses and spices to change it up every now and then.  Kind of like some pizza places let you choose different crusts, may be Subway could offer different variations of their meatball sub.  Other than that I love Subway’s meatball marinara sub and in my opinion it’s the best meatball sub out there.

Ask the Subway people to give you the ingredients for their meat balls. There is very little meat and allot of other crap I wouldn’t feed your dog. Last time I ate at Subway I had to pay like three times the price to get enough meat on the sandwich to taste. Yeah, it is a fricking salad on bread not a sandwich.
